Mental retardation is not an illness; it is a condition, where the affected person possesses subnormal intellectual capacities. The Mentally challenged children need training and independence as well as measure of protection.

SCREENING COMMITTEE
A screening committee consisting of a Medical Officer, Clinical Psychologists, social worker, the principal and special Educator will screen each and every students based on the result the children are graded.
RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ADMISSION
1. | Child should be a Mentally Challenged and their level of IQ should
be below seventy.

2. | Age limit will be between 3 to 30 years. |
3. | Admission will be given to students irrespective of casts, creed, religion, race or sex. |
4. | New admissions are given in the beginning of the academic year JULY . |
5. | The application forms and prospectus can be obtained from the school office. |
6. | The academic year begins on the 1st weeks of July and closes by the end of April every year. Besides summer vacation, there will be two short-term vacations, one during Deepawali season and other during Christmas. |
7. | No boarding facility provided by the school at present, all students are to be day scholars. |
8. | The management reserves the right to grant or deny admission to any one. |
9. | The management may at any time at its discretion require the withdrawal of the child from the school and such withdrawal shall duly the complied with by the parent or guardian with in the limit prescribed therein. |
10. | Maximum possible attention will be given to meet special needs and personal care of students. The children will constantly be under supervision |
11. | Students are grouped in different classes according to their functional level and I.Q. level. Promotions are given on the basis of test and development of students, conducted each year using rest materials and exams. |
12. | Students should wear the school uniform everyday except on wednesday. |
13. | Centre works from 9.30 A.M. to 3.30 P.M. These rules and regulations are subject to alteration and when deemed necessary by the Management Training Programmes are tailored according to the need of each child (IEP). |
